YJ YoYo - Zephyros

The Zephyros is the evolution of Korean 1A champion Park Woo Chan's signature model.

Proceeding from the know-how gained by making the multi-material model called The Future, Zephyros takes a different approach to its construction. It's the new signature model of Korea's 1A champion, Park Woo Chan, and is vastly different from his prior model.

There are two major points we'd like to point out: one is its size, and the other is its materials, both of which draw their inspiration from The Future.

Approaching the "oversized" class with a diameter of 59mm and width of 48mm, Zephyros is large across both axes. It has a definitely large presence in the hand and during play. But at 65 grams, it feels light for its size. To make the most of that light playfeel and maximize sleep times and stability, that's where the material construction comes into play. In a multi-material twist, a POM plastic ring separates the 6061 aluminum body and stainless steel rim, pushing that steel out even further for enhanced weight distribution. YJ YoYo has gained a lot of know-how, and put it to good use in making this unique combination.

By switching that area from metal to POM, it's drastically reduced that area's mass, enhancing the effect of the stainless steel rim weight. Along with its large size, this makes the Zephyros a speedy spinner, easy to accelerate and mount. The Zephyros is a unique and excellent throw that seems to break the rules of physics of bimetal yo-yos.
