This is the signature model designed for counterweight style (5A) by Shingo "Terry" Terada, the 2001 World Champion in X Division and former manager of REWIND Shibuya store. It's designed to remove the mental barriers many people feel when challenging counterweight style, such as "It might break if I drop it" or "It might hurt if it hits me." This model embodies what Terry himself, who loves plastic yo-yos, has always wanted.
The overall rounded body with no corners mitigates impact when hit. To withstand the inevitable impacts from drops in counterweight play, it adopts a bolt and nut structure with a thick body. It demonstrated sufficient strength even in drop impact tests from high places. While having a compact diameter to fit comfortably in hand for the unique grips used in counterweight play, it secures ample width to make it easy to hit the string from any direction. The width increases your success rate of tricks and allows you to focus on the movement of the counterweight.
Of course, it excels not only in counterweight style but also in one-handed string tricks. Its soft and honest feeling is especially suitable for relaxed play that makes you want to carry it around all the time.
It uses caps compatible with One Star, so you can enjoy customizing colors and designs by changing the caps (Please note that removing and changing caps may cause imbalances that could result in wobbling. Please try at your own risk with this understanding).
The name "Aerial" comes from the dynamic representative trick of counterweight where the yo-yo and weight are thrown into the air. With this Aerial, please challenge dynamic counterweight tricks to your heart's content.
