onedrop - Yelets
This gorgeous yo-yo has a surpriising name and an even more surprising spec sheet.
The Yelets is a middle-sized yo-yo, coming in at 52.6mm diameter and 38.5mm width (which it proudly references on its laser etching). This yo-yo accepts side effects, and comes outfitted with the aluminum ultralight ones. The narrow width makes it hard to imagine much weight in the wings, but the design has lightened the center so much, the Yelets spins with a ferocity that's unexpected from its appearance. Even though it's middle-sized, you can throw it around like an undersized yo-yo. And thanks to its slender body, you need to be more accurate with this yo-yo, which is guaranteed to either frustrate you or vastly improve your string trick accuracy.
By the way, you may notice that the name "Yelets" is not printed on the yo-yo itself, so you may be wondering where the name comes from. The numbers etched on the side aren't just the yo-yo's specs, they're the latitude and longitude of the city of Yelets, which is just south of Moscow. This also explains why the city's crest is printed on the box.
