YoYoFactory - Turbo Grind Machine

Round metal yo-yo with retro brake pads.

This brake pad was released by Playmax, the company that belonged to YoYoFactory's owner, Mr. Yohan, and is mounted on a model that bears the name of YoYoFactory's early model, Grind Machine. This brake pad is said to be the world's first replaceable pad response system.

Before the introduction of bind responsiveness, ball bearing-equipped models required quite delicate settings to achieve both a smooth glide that allowed string tricks to be performed and still allow the yo-yo to return.

The cork star was a revolutionary response system at the time that could achieve both relatively simple settings and a highly dependable results.

This Turbo Grind Machine also has a good weight and feeling for string tricks with tug response, and in addition, it returns properly and slides well enough for simple string tricks. The weight can be increased by attaching the included caps to give it an even stiffer spinning feel.

Spare brake pads are also included.
