ll yo-yos have passed the manufacturer's inspection. Different manufacturers have different standards for product quality. Basically, products that can be used normally are within the product specifications.
Examples of possible initial defects : If you notice any of the following symptoms immediately after opening the product, it may be due to an initial defect.
(Bind model only) The bearing barely turns even when flicked with a finger.
Even after calming the vibrations with a rotating middle finger, the yo-yo still vibrates so much that it appears to change shape.
Parts that should have been installed (bearings/pads) are not installed
Examples of items that are not considered initial defects
Damage to the package
Color image difference
Bearing noises after playing a few times
A yo-yo that was delivered in a properly assembled state, but after being disassembled, could no longer be assembled
Scratches and paint chips inside the bearing area
The color unevenness of the yo-yo is not noticeable from a distance.
Paint chipping that is not visible from a distance
Scratches on the yo-yo that are not visible from a distance and are barely noticeable when touched with your fingers
Made from 7075 aluminum, Top Deck combines the concepts of the Cascade and Citizen, and is JT Nickel's new signature model.
The name "Top Deck" refers to the face that with a stack of playing cards, just by changing the position of the card on top can completely change the circumstances, and pave the way to victory. This yo-yo embodies that desire to win, and is designed to help crush on stage, but doesn't overlook the casual scene either.
Made from 7075 aluminum, the settings are based on those of the Cascade, combined with the weight distribution and excellent balance of the Citizen. The result is a 66 gram yo-yo that feels gloriously light during play. That lightness is equally matched by its stability, so you feel like you're really getting the best of both worlds. There aren't many yo-yos that feel so light that you'd think you need to return or regenerate it when in fact you have spin to spare!
The Top Deck is a really unique high-end yo-yo, but you'll have to get one in your hands to find out for yourself.
Official Description Living just down the highway from the shop, Jt visits frequently with new stories and tricks to share. He is a walking encyclopedia and plays a huge role in testing prototypes we have scattered around here. After months of behind the scenes testing, we are pleased to finally share with everyone the signature yo-yo of team member Jt Nickel, the Top Deck.
When we sat down to design the Top Deck with JT, the focus was on pure performance. Taking inspiration from our titanium yo-yo, the Citizen, where we took advantage of the material by making a very thin body to help shift weight to the rim. We decided to use 7075 aluminum alloy, which has more density and strength than the usual 6061, so that we could push the limits on the weight distribution in a similar way that we did on the Citizen.
Here is how JT describes it:
“I wanted the Top Deck to move with ease and grace, similar to the Summit, but with a little more stability, for that extra edge during a session. We came up with a design that incorporated a mid-weight step (like the summit) but distributed the rest of the weight into the rim. Combined with an organic catch zone and the false rim look from the Cascade, the end result gave me my absolute favorite yo-yo to date. Fast, stable, comfortable, and made out of 7075 for some extra kick as well!â€
7075 aluminum alloy is much more expensive than 6061. Because of this our previous 7075 models (Valor and Format:C) retailed for $120. Using techniques we pioneered to achieve incredible value on models like the Benchmarks, the Vanguard and the Gauntlet, we were able to find a way to have the Top Deck retail for $79 without sacrificing quality. We are continuing to push the limit on the value while making our yoyos in house in Eugene, Oregon, USA.
