Tide is a titanium model with side effects, based on the Noah model, which has a large cup-like rounded body with no steps and deeply gouged edges to lift the response area away from the string. Perhaps the naming is a nod to the famous seafaring namesake of its sibling model, or to the receding wave of metal around the response edge.
Following the Noah, Tide has a simple appearance with little ornamentation that gives it an understated, luxurious feel. However, there are subtle adjustments that have been made to achieve the performance demands of Atmos Projects.
You can always feel the smooth round body during tricks. The sensation of pulling the yo-yo by yourself gives you a good feeling of control, and makes you want to use it all the time. Usually, large round models with a cup shape have a strong floaty playfeel, but the Tide matches that with a fast, solid response.
The beautiful sound peculiar to titanium resonates from the scooped body during tricks, making this model highly satisfying even to the auditory senses. The feeling can be fine-tuned by replacing the side effects.
