An undersized full metal yo-yo that dares to defy trends of the times and uses its small size to full advantage!
This undersized yo-yo is a bit small with a diameter of 50-52mm. Because of its small size, Transmission is ideal for weaving complicated paths and performing delicate tricks between your fingers. It also handles well, even for those with small hands.
One problem with smaller yo-yos is that it can be difficult to add much velocity to their spin, which can lead to a lack of power and control. The Transmission was designed by SUS Yo-Yo Mechanics to dispel such worries and allow you to enjoy the pure advantages of this size, incorporating a wealth of know-how from their past lineup and modern technology.
In the midst of the current mainstream of full-size, oversize, and bimetal models that are light in weight, large in size, and high in power, we have dared to create an undersized model.
We drew inspiration from the trick-motion, another undersized bimetal model from around 2014. We designed and named it TransMission to express the connection between those days and the present, like how the transmission of a car links the power of your engine to make the wheels turn.
Since smaller yo-yos are considered to be at a disadvantage in terms of rotational power, but we have tried to make up for this by pursuing a profile that efficiently preserves the inertia of your throw, suppresses sleep loss during tricks, and improves stability through weight distribution of the wide body.
The theme of the new model is "to connect you to your yo-yo." We designed the shape of the edge and the rim not to be too heavy or light, to specifically convey where the string is hitting the yo-yo's body to make it easier to control intuitively. This evokes the image of an old school sports car, which is simple but so well designed as to make you feel mechanically connected to the ground. The goal is always to turn the yo-yo into an extension of your body.
When practicing the same trick over and over, it will be easier to feel the conditions when you hit the trick, burning victory into your muscle memory and giving you a stronger sense that you are improving your accuracy and skill.
The undersize nature makes it easy for players with small hands to handle, making Transmission suitable for beginners and players of all ages. If you are an intermediate player or above, challenge yourself to perform the tricks you have already learned. I'm sure you'll be able to gain new insight into the trick, and improve your accuracy.
Once again, as this is the first SUS original model, we dared to make it stand out and apart from the mainstream sizes. Originally, SUS YOYO MECHANICS started as a design brand, and we approach those design projects as if we were building a racing car. For our original model, on the other hand, we designed from the idea of a concept car that might appear in a motor show.
