Description
yoyorecreation - Stargazer
A prototype that gave birth to a world champion, Stargazer is Hiroki Miyamoto's signature model: a new body type with reinforced durability.
*Please note that the current stock of Blast-Pink Stargazers use Thick YYR Silicone Pads.
At the 2008 World Yo-Yo Contest, Miyamoto’s 3A tricks proved as revolutionary as the yo-yos he used to perform them. Following yoyorecreation’s motto “not just signature yo-yos for world champions, but for those who will become champions,” Miyamoto used a prototype to claim 1st place in the 3A division. The Stargazer went on sale shortly after the contest, and quickly sold out. Even now, it’s hard to get ahold of. Many players called for another run, and in 2009, YYR released an updated version, changing from a step-round to a step-straight shape, employing the same 7075 Aluminum body as the Sleipnir for maximum durability. The diameter remains at 54mm, and the gap widened by 1mm, while the weight has dropped by two grams. The most regular-sized of the YYR lineup, Stargazer is well suited for both 1A and 5A as well, and is our recommendation if this is your first yoyorecreation.
Please note: YYR uses 7075 aluminium alloy to seek their best performance. 7075 is not a great material for anodizing, so YYR yo-yos have anodizing imperfection and small spot, scratches on their bodies. They seek the best performance, not best cosmetics.
*Sometimes the sides of the yo-yo will be ever-so-slightly convex in the center, but since it is perfectly centered around the bearing, this will have no affect on how the yo-yo plays.
