All yo-yos have passed the manufacturer's quality inspection. Quality standards vary by manufacturer. Basically, products that can be used normally are within product specifications.
Examples of possible initial defects
if the following symptoms occur immediately after opening, they may be initial defects:
(Bind models only) The bearing barely rotates even when flicked with a finger.
Even after dampening vibrations with a finger during play, the yo-yo vibrates so much that its shape appears distorted.
Parts that should be installed (bearings, pads) are not installed.
Examples that do not constitute initial defects
Package damage
Color differences from expectations
Bearing noise or bind model return issues that occur after even a few plays
Yo-yos that arrived properly assembled but cannot be reassembled after disassembly
Scratches on the inside of the bearing area, paint chips
Color variations on the yo-yo that are not noticeable from a distance
Paint chips that are not noticeable from a distance
Scratches on the yo-yo that are not noticeable from a distance and barely detectable by touch
Minor rust on bearing surfaces of models that come pre-strung in the package (minor external rust has almost no impact on performance)
A unique body, balanced weight, and sharp edges. Stalker is an epic first release, from the mind of a Malaysian champion.
2010 Malaysian Yo-Yo National Champion Muhammad Shakeel must have known he would dominate, since he already has his own signature yo-yo, and the flagship release from his new brand, YOYOSKEEL. Not only the first full metal yo-yo from YOYOSKEEL, this is the first full metal model made in Malaysia.
Extreme steps, sharp angles and a super-low edge are the main features at first glance, with a massive catch zone. The white space almost forms the same polygonal shape as the yo-yo itself. It clearly has a few peculiarities, but the wide catch zone makes landing tricks the least of your worries. The steps create an almost inverse-round shape, which combined with the low edge make for minimum sleep loss. It has all the features you'd want in a full size full metal yo-yo, and performs especially well for high speed practice.
From the slightly creepy packaging (printed with a stalker's unblinking eye) to the yo-yo itself, there's something unusual about this yo-yo; we just can't get it out of our minds. It's a good thing a yo-yo can't file a restraining order.
Comes loaded with a Center Trac bearing. Some of the yo-yos have some marks on them that appear to be scratches, but this is just a result of the anodizing process.
