Description
YoYoJam - SpeedMaker
The Speeder's cheaper sibling, and Hiroyuki Suzuki's second signature model.
2004-2006 1A World Champion Hiroyuki Suzuki decided to follow up the popularity of his Speeder with a cheaper version made from plastic. The Speeder's shape is preserved, but without the metal rim. Compared to the original it's not quite as powerful, but amongst plastic yo-yos it has plenty of potential. To prove this, in 2007, Suzuki swept the prelims at the Central Japan Yo-Yo Contest, and the following year, he won the whole thing with the SpeedMaker. He showed that even though it's plastic, you shouldn't judge a yo-yo by its material. The straight body keeps sleep loss away, and true to its name, it's easy to put a lot of spin on this yo-yo. Like the Speeder, it employs a half-burst response system, and handles very similar to its higher end brother. The delrin polycarbonate body is soft and supple in the hand, no complaints there. The gap is adjustable, giving you the option for more or less response, making the SpeedMaker a great choice for those just stepping into the more advanced tricks and binding techniques.
