Tom Kuhn - RD-1

An adjustable-weight yo-yo from Tom Kuhn, codenamed the RD-1.

The RD-1 (RD-ONE) stands for "Recreational Device 1). Tom Kuhn is a well-established name in the yo-yo world, and since he first started making yo-yos he's changed the game forever, constantly coming up with great new concepts. This RD-1 is a "butterfly shape" yo-yo, and its sibling, the RD-2 is a Duncan "Imperial" shape model.

The RD-1's standout feature is the removable metal weights in the rims. This lets you adjust its weight and distribution. The gap is NOT adjustable (ignore any specs that say otherwise), but you can open up this wooden yo-yo and replace the Turbo response discs.

The RD-1 is a tug-response yo-yo, well suited for newcomers to the yo-yo game. It's still made to perform difficult tricks, so the RD-1 is still good for both beginners and intermediate players alike.

This yo-yo has a fully wooden body, and therefore its specs may have minor variations. Also, minor marks on the body are from the manufacturing process, thank you for understanding.

Comes with extra string (x5) and instruction booklet (English).
