YoYoFactory - Protege
Made for the new YYF Protege Team, the Fundametal series Protege.
In a nutshell, this yo-yo is small and straight. Its 50mm diameter compliments the simple design. It preserves the Fundametal concept in size and simplicity, but features a wider gap to increase trick success. At first glance, it has the look of a DV888, with the flat rim stepped down.
The Protege Team was formed by the scouting efforts of the current Contest Team, in order to cultivate the best and brightest of the upcoming yo-yo stars. These young players get mentored by the Contest Team members, and are taught tricks and freestyle methods, as well as general yo-yo advice and support. In order to show support for the next generation of professional players, $1 for every Protege sold goes directly to the Protege team. Through their strict practice and hard work, these young players deserve our respect and support, for it's they who will push this sport to the next level. Doesn't get much more exciting than that!
