With a wide hollow construction focused on power, the Pragma is the new signature model for Izuru Hasumi!

Carrying the torch from the Singularity, Pragma is the second signature model for Izuru Hasumi. This is a special kind of bimetal design, that has incorporated some "air space" into the area between the body and the stainless steel rim. Another unusual choice is the rather heavy weight of 66 grams, which gives even more power to the bimetal design. It feels like the design of the Singularity has been pushed to its limit with the Pragma, and it's an extreme model that's a true marvel.

The biggest feature of the Pragma is that it maintains an incredibly stable spin all the way to the final rotation; this yo-yo is so perfectly balanced and carefully designed that it absolutely squeezes all the juice out of each throw. It has a life of its own that takes it beyond the Singularity, and it's sure to find a home in the contest scene. It's interesting to compare the Pragma with other bimetal designs, and realize the breadth of design out there.

About Izuru Hasumi (Team YoYoFactory)

Izuru first picked up a yo-yo at age 11, and quickly found himself excelling and entering contests, and getting attention from all over the scene. His freestyles are magical, beautifully matching his movement and technique to his music, winning him regional contests around Japan from 2016-2019, and getting him 5th in the ultra-competitive Japan National Yo-Yo Contest in 2018. He is now a staff member at the Yo-Yo Store REWIND Shibuya store, and runs trick workshops and teaching events for the store.
