Description
YoYoJam - PHENOMizm 24k Gold Rim
A PHENOM with a plastic body and metal rim, the PHENOMizm may be cheaper than its older brother, but it has the chops to stand up to the PHENOM's capabilities.
Another signature model from 2004-2006 1A World Champion Hiroyuki Suzuki. The PHENOMizm is a more affordable version of the full metal PHENOM. Don't let that word fool you, as this yo-yo throws like the original PHENOM. The personal appeal of its unique placement of the metal rim doesn't just make it look good.
The main reason for the price break is the choice in materials. PHENOM's Aluminum body has been replaced with plastic, but still has the same 24k gold plated nickel-bronze ring. Its material don't slow it down one bit; it has a smooth sleep and preserves the Speeder-like straight body shape, making it look and feel sharp as it cuts through the air. We were surprised by how much control and spinning power it gives. By numbers alone it belongs in the heavyweight class, but it is quite nimble in your hands. All the benefits of the PHENOM has been preserved in its little brother.
It comes outfitted with a KonKave bearing, but even so, it plays like a much more expensive yo-yo. The Solid Spin system is also on board, making for a much stronger axle resistant to damage. YoYoJam has done its due diligence with the PHENOMizm.
If you're going to tout a PHENOM yo-yo, might we also suggest accessorizing with Suzuki's MY-THO-LOGY PHENOM pouch.
*This is a special 2010 World Yo-Yo Contest release version; the standard version will be released later, and the price will probably be different.
