Description
YoYoJam - PHENOM (Hiroyuki Suzuki)
Hiroyuki Suzuki's new signature model hits the scene with some bling.
Following up the Meteor's legacy, Hiroyuki Suzuki present the PHENOM, a full metal yo-yo with some real precious metal in it. The nickel-bronze center-ring has been given the gold treatment, with a 24k coating. This yo-yo isn't just for display, it delivers the performance that makes its price quite reasonable.
Another unique design decision has been to move the ring to the middle of the body. This model went on sale briefly at the 2010 World Contest; we say "briefly" because they sold out in 2 minutes! The low edge makes this a great model for both normal and horizontal play. It's quite a heavyweight yo-yo, but it is surprisingly nimble in your hands. The mirror cap also features a golden logo treatment, making it look sharp either in your collection or in your hands.
It comes outfitted with a KonKave bearing, but even so, it plays like a much more expensive yo-yo. The Solid Spin system is also on board, making for a much stronger axle resistant to damage. YoYoJam has done its due diligence with the PHENOMizm.
If you're going to tout a PHENOM yo-yo, might we also suggest accessorizing with Hiroyuki Suzuki's MY-THO-LOGY PHENOM pouch.
