Sturm Panzer - Night Moves 9
NM9 has been renewed. The 9th generation of the YoYoJam-authorized Night Moves series by Sturm Panzer.
It has been 9 years since YoYoJam ceased operations at the end of 2015. Even after 9 years, I continue to collect YoYoJam yo-yos.
We have renewed "NM9," or "Night Moves 9," which was released in 2016 and became YoYoJam-authorized in 2017. Originally, NM9 was released as a tribute yo-yo inspired by YoYoJam, an "insider's reference" that only those in the know would understand.
In the "Night Moves Special Feature" article at the end of the accompanying Story Book Volume 9, we introduced the previous Night Moves series plus the unreleased "Night Moves 8". (By the way, the "WY-009" part of the product name is the sequential number of the story book series and has no connection to YoYoJam.) Later, it became a YoYoJam-authorized yo-yo, and NM9 became a genuine Night Moves 9, though it sold out while still under the name NM9.
In 2020, iYoYo released "NiGHT MOVES X(10)," so the ninth slot in the Night Moves series remains entrusted to Sturm Panzer by YoYoJam. Therefore, thinking that we shouldn't waste this ninth slot that was entrusted to us, we have now renewed it as Night Moves 9.
The accompanying booklet "All about Night Moves" provides detailed explanations of all Night Moves series from the first to X, plus more. From here, we will resume writing for the project to compile explanations of all YoYoJam products into one book, "All about YoYoJam."

The NM9 released in 2016 has been renewed. YoYoJam's essence goes deep, and the commitment to maintaining it as a genuine YoYoJam Night Moves is evident.
The shape is based on YoYoJam's Quest with adjustments. The pad size has been changed to the slim size used by many yo-yos.
The bearing continues from NM9 as a flat bearing, which was initially installed in most YoYoJam products at the time. Rather than maximizing performance, it emphasizes authenticity, imagining an alternative timeline where YoYoJam continued operations beyond 2016.
The diamond-shaped marking, which was adopted in some YoYoJam models at the time, has been reproduced as much as possible, albeit using different methods from the original.
As the manufacturer's greatest point of dedication, they adopted the inch-size axle that YoYoJam used at the time. Moreover, the axle used in this model is a genuine YoYoJam axle. Due to different pitch (thread spacing) from the axles commonly used in many yo-yos today, it cannot be used with similar-looking sizes. However, it's no exaggeration to say that this attention to detail has imbued it with soul (appears to be equivalent to YYJ #5 axle).
The booklet "All About Night Moves" is a valuable volume containing explanations of all Night Moves releases from the first to the current model.

Manufacturer's Notes
- The axle is "CP-17 YYJ Axle #9" (inch size). While M4 axles may accidentally fit in the threads, this will damage the thread holes.
- The stock bearing is a Size C flat bearing. For optimal performance, we recommend replacing it with a concave bearing or similar. Bearing replacement is at your own risk.
- Minor scratches, dirt, color irregularities, and machining marks may occur during manufacturing, assembly, and shipping processes - these are part of the product specifications. Laser marking darkness and clarity may vary between individual units.
