Description

Werrd - Minute

The undersized, low-edged, straight bodied yo-yo from down under.

Werrd has several small yo-yos in their lineup, but unlike their TFL88 and XXXXL, the Minute features a smart step-straight body shape. The edge is so low it comes right down to the response pad, keeping the yo-yo spinning true and curbing sleep loss. The small, light body is very nimble, great for intricate between-the-finger tricks like Chopsticks and Protrusion.

Minute comes loaded with a Duncan size bearing, an uncommon choice for full metal yo-yos. The gap is very wide for its size, and it has a great feel during play. The design is very straightforward and serious, but far from plain. The Minute means business.

"It's fun to play with, easily pocketable, it's just a great throw.
Would definitely recommend it to a friend."

The Werrd Minute is an undersized throw with a beautiful finish and a great personality. I have a gold Minute, and upon throwing it for the first few times I noticed that it was definitely something different. It was dense, and you can feel it hit the string, not to say it isn't smooth (it is). The Minute is extremely fast because of its smaller size, and it reminded me of throwing my old X-convict from YYJ. The Minute is stable, speedy, and hits hard; again, it has the nicest finish out of all of my throws (8 currently). If you're looking for something that breaks away from the current full size h-shape market and feels a lot like the mid 2000's, the Werrd Minute is an excellent buy.

A mediocre yoyo

While the yoyo plays fast and quite stable, it has its drawbacks. I found that the yoyo would often snag during tricks suddenly -particularly ones with multiple wraps around the bearing. Interestingly, this problem is at its worst when using Werrd's Blueprint string. I have also found the stock bearing to be noisy and inconsistent for smooth unresponsive play. However, the yoyo is light and can zip through tricks quickly. The colors are bold and rich and the engraving is unique. It is a reasonable yoyo overall, but there are better options around at lower prices.
