ll yo-yos have passed the manufacturer's inspection. Different manufacturers have different standards for product quality. Basically, products that can be used normally are within the product specifications.
Examples of possible initial defects : If you notice any of the following symptoms immediately after opening the product, it may be due to an initial defect.
(Bind model only) The bearing barely turns even when flicked with a finger.
Even after calming the vibrations with a rotating middle finger, the yo-yo still vibrates so much that it appears to change shape.
Parts that should have been installed (bearings/pads) are not installed
Examples of items that are not considered initial defects
Damage to the package
Color image difference
Bearing noises after playing a few times
A yo-yo that was delivered in a properly assembled state, but after being disassembled, could no longer be assembled
Scratches and paint chips inside the bearing area
The color unevenness of the yo-yo is not noticeable from a distance.
Paint chipping that is not visible from a distance
Scratches on the yo-yo that are not visible from a distance and are barely noticeable when touched with your fingers
Metativity goes above and beyond all specs, as a super high-end competition full titanium yo-yo.
This yo-yo was the grand prize model of our 2021 lucky bags, an ultra luxurious full titanium model. Designed by Japanese yo-yo design firm SUS YOYO MECHANICS, and manufactured with love by YoYoFactory, it’s a double signature model for Team YoYoFactory members, Izuru Hasumi and Akitoshi Tokubuchi!
Both players have earned some well-deserved respect for themselves in the contest scene, and they worked with the designer to develop their ideal settings to satisfy their demanding performances. It could be called an “ultimate answer†to their needs.
*Please note that compared to other high-precision monometal and bimetal models, we noticed a slight amount of vibration in the Metavity’s spin. This is likely due to the use of a basic bearing, which can be upgraded. We make sure to check every yo-yo before we ship, to ensure acceptable performance. Thank you for your understanding.
Comment from SUS YOYOMECHANICS
Collective Intelligence will excel beyond the past.
Originally this model was released as the SUS001, designed by request to be the grand prize of REWIND‘S Lucky Bag in 2021. The request was to create the best titanium yo-yo possible. It was our first challenge to create a titanium model worthy of the contest stage, and we gladly accepted this valuable chance.
My other challenge was one I presented myself, to overcome and surpass what I’ve done in the past. With these goals in mind, I set off to design what would become the Metavity.
Collecting specs and data from past models, analyzing the special characteristics of those yo-you and calculating areas for improvement were how we arrived at the perfect specs, shape, and weight distribution. Thanks to the inherent strength and durability of titanium, we worked with the factory to draw extreme performance out of the materials, and shave off as much weight as physically possible from the axle area.
Of course the material change gave us the chance to improve spin, but we didn’t stop there. Power, stability, and control were all improved upon to give players of all trick styles a massive power-up. Of course the performance is great, but we had to be satisfied that we had surpassed our previous work. The Metavity stands on the shoulders of all our previous models, and looks far into the future.
Although it was designed just for the lucky bag event, as luck would have it the yo-yo got some attention, and the project grew in size to become a full-on release by a major label! Don’t just get it because it’s titanium, get it because you recognize its incredible performance and potential in your hand!
