Hydrangea - Lycoris
Unique bronze metal yo-yo with high bump and simple round shape.
The Hydrangea Lycoris is a bronze (copper alloy) metal yo-yo with a high bump area and simple-looking round shape. Lycoris is the first yo-yo ever made entirely of bronze. Because of the special material, the specs of this yo-yo are different from those of other metal yo-yos.
Despite its full-size diameter, the ultra-lightweight design weighs only about 60 grams. The slim 40mm width is also a unique feature, but it is the weight that is most interesting.
A typical full-size yo-yo weighs 64 to 66 g. In the world of yo-yos, where even a 1 g difference can transform a yo-yo into a completely different model, many people may have the impression that the weight is too light.
However, this is because bronze is a material with a specific gravity nearly three times higher than aluminum alloy, and it is thought that this is due to the increased weight and responsiveness caused by rotational force. When actually used, Lycoris is not only easy to accelerate, but also has excellent braking performance thanks to its responsiveness, and it can be said that not only the strength unique to bronze, but also the ease of stability and control between the speeds of your choice is a positive point for the Lycoris.
In addition to the performance aspect, there are many other features that we are particular about. Please take a look at the manufacturer's comments.
Comments from the manufacturer
Lycoris is a full bronze monometallic yo-yo that uses bronze, a copper alloy, which is unprecedented for a yo-yo body material.
In order to enhance the golden coloration, the lines running from the outer face to the inner face are designed with smooth curves without any straight lines. The weight distribution is designed for daily use, so that the wearer will not get tired even after long periods of use, and the weight is distributed in such a way that the wearer can feel the weight of the instrument.
The copper alloy used in Lycoris is 1.3 times stronger than A7075 aluminum, which is known for its high strength.
The luster of the material changes gradually with use, allowing the user to enjoy the aging process. Because of the high copper content, the aging process will change the color depending on the user's grip and style of play. Try growing your own vintage Lycoris.
The following initial parts are included with Lycoris.

Supplementation
- It is possible to install a bearing of size C minus. No need to change the axle. This allows for the option to play it as a tug response yo-yo.
- When using it as a tug response yo-yo, we recommend oiling the bearing.
