ll yo-yos have passed the manufacturer's inspection. Different manufacturers have different standards for product quality. Basically, products that can be used normally are within the product specifications.
Examples of possible initial defects : If you notice any of the following symptoms immediately after opening the product, it may be due to an initial defect.
(Bind model only) The bearing barely turns even when flicked with a finger.
Even after calming the vibrations with a rotating middle finger, the yo-yo still vibrates so much that it appears to change shape.
Parts that should have been installed (bearings/pads) are not installed
Examples of items that are not considered initial defects
Damage to the package
Color image difference
Bearing noises after playing a few times
A yo-yo that was delivered in a properly assembled state, but after being disassembled, could no longer be assembled
Scratches and paint chips inside the bearing area
The color unevenness of the yo-yo is not noticeable from a distance.
Paint chipping that is not visible from a distance
Scratches on the yo-yo that are not visible from a distance and are barely noticeable when touched with your fingers
Krown.ws" is now bimetal version. The most powerful feel ever in the series.
This is the bimetal version of Krown.ws, the Krown.wst. Krown.ws was more popular than we expected, and we were able to release the bimetal version of Krown.ws as soon as possible. Thank you all very much.
Overview
"wst" is an abbreviation of "wide style" and "stainless steel," and it is a bimetallic wider Krown with a stainless steel rim.
The basic concept is the same as the Krown.ws, "wide, just ride it"... and then, it is a yo-yo with a lot of power. This may be the most powerful yo-yo in the Krown series.
A short story about the development of this yo-yo
As we've mentioned before, Krown.ws was a yoyo that was born "by accident." On the other hand, "wst" was based on "ws", which allowed us to develop it more closely. When the decision was made to produce the "ws", plans were made to produce the "wst" as well. This was because, of course, the regular version of "Krown" and "Krown.st" already existed, so it was almost like an automatic decision.
In fact, on social networking sites, some people predicted that "ws" would be bimetallic, and if so, the name would be "wst." Some people predicted that "ws" will become bimetallic.
But in fact, while the "ws" was a product version that was easily finalized, "wst" was a bit more of a prototype and had to be built over and over again.
The first prototype of Krown.wst in the early stages of development had a much narrower rim than the standard Krown.st rim. The initial concept of "wst" was to be a bimetal version of "ws" and to extend the characteristics of a wide yo-yo, emphasizing lightness.
However, I felt that it was not punchy enough. Even though it is light, it is still a bimetal, after all.
Monometal, which consists of a single material, has a more straightforward feel, and the light feeling is more pronounced. In other words, the lightness alone was not as good as Krown.ws.
Of course, it has more power than the Krown.ws, but not as much as the Krown.st. I felt that the position of "wst" itself was being pushed out by the surroundings, even though it is a good yo-yo.
So we decided to take it in a direction that has never been seen before in the Krown series:
Make it feel heavier. Give me more turning power.
Of course, C3 knows that I like light yo-yos,
"Are you sure?" They asked. He actually asked me several times, "Are you sure?
How many grams can we increase, how far can we change the shape of the rim, how wide can we widen the rim? Even a change of a few millimeters in the design was a big change for the yo-yo, so we had more careful discussions and made more prototypes in a short period of time.
The "ws" was launched at the Japan national competition and had sold quite well, so we wanted to make it in time for the World Championships, if possible. From there, we worked on it at a rapid pace, and it was safely released in time for the World Yo-Yo Contest.
Performance
The completed Krown.wst is the most powerful yo-yo in the history of the Krown series. In my personal opinion, it is more powerful than the relatively power-oriented Rooc.
The stainless steel rim is wider and more voluminous, so even though it weighs in the 63g range and is 48mm wide, it clearly has more power. Horizontal steadiness is also higher, and the actual weight is lighter.
It is completely to my liking. In other words, the "ws" and "wst" yo-yos are both wide yo-yos, but they take advantage of their width in completely different directions.
ws is light because of its width wst takes advantage of the thickness of the rim because of its width
What I can say without a doubt is that I want you to try both of these yo-yos at least once!
This is the first challenge for the Krown series. Please pick one up and have fun!
