All yo-yos have passed the manufacturer's quality inspection. Quality standards vary by manufacturer. Basically, products that can be used normally are within product specifications.
Examples of possible initial defects
if the following symptoms occur immediately after opening, they may be initial defects:
(Bind models only) The bearing barely rotates even when flicked with a finger.
Even after dampening vibrations with a finger during play, the yo-yo vibrates so much that its shape appears distorted.
Parts that should be installed (bearings, pads) are not installed.
Examples that do not constitute initial defects
Package damage
Color differences from expectations
Bearing noise or bind model return issues that occur after even a few plays
Yo-yos that arrived properly assembled but cannot be reassembled after disassembly
Scratches on the inside of the bearing area, paint chips
Color variations on the yo-yo that are not noticeable from a distance
Paint chips that are not noticeable from a distance
Scratches on the yo-yo that are not noticeable from a distance and barely detectable by touch
Minor rust on bearing surfaces of models that come pre-strung in the package (minor external rust has almost no impact on performance)
The 5th installment in the Krown series, featuring a 7068 aluminum body and a stainless steel rim.
C3's long-standing flagship series gets its latest installment as the Krown.st 7068, the 5th in Shinya Kido's signature series and the 3rd to feature a bimetal design. It's packed with new features and design elements that may look like minor changes, but add up to a huge jump in performance!
Official statement from Shinya Kido
I'm proud to present the 5th stage of the Krown series. It has a titanium axle and a high-end 7068 aluminum body, and uses JP response pads. Altogether it is 1 gram heavier than the previous model, but we've completely reevaluated the weight distribution, and the balance is very different from before. The step straight body gives top performance and sharp, fast playfeel that makes the new Krown a true weapon in the right hands. The sense of speed comes not from lightness, but the deliberate delivery of that weight. This design gives you control, power, and stability all at once. It reminds me of the Beserker SS in this regard, so if you liked that model you're sure to love this Krown as well.
at 44mm wide, even if your playstyle isn't meant for speed, the new Krown is perfect for all kinds of mounts including influent tricks and dynamic horizontal play (you know what I like!). At 54mm, the diameter is slightly smaller than other Krown models, so I think players with smaller hands will be pleased.
Even for those who already own Krowns, I think this new model brings a fresh feeling to the series, and is worth giving a throw. Please give it a try and I hope it brings you as much joy as it does to me!
Please note: C3yoyodesign uses 7068 aluminium alloy to seek their best performance. 7068 is not a great material for anodizing, so Krown.st 7068 has anodizing imperfections. This does not affect how the yo-yo plays. They seek the best performance, not always the best cosmetics.
