REWIND frontman and world champion, Shinya Kido has joined team C3, and the Krown is his first signature yo-yo! The Krown was developed to be Shinya's ultimate throw, with the main design consideration being his desire to have complete control over the yo-yo. The resulting yo-yo has both incredible stability and loads of power--the hallmarks of C3's craftsmanship, and the features Shinya had in mind for his dream yo-yo.

The Krown is a lighter throw, which brings with it many merits. While it does require a bit more accuracy and control during play, it also means you can practice for longer without wearing out your arms and shoulders. A small change in weight can make a huge difference to a hardcore player, and when you're practicing for competition, a lighter yo-yo means you can practice longer and harder. The design of the body has given it a step round shape, giving the Krown a softer impression in the hand both at rest and at play, and it catches smooth and easily.

The basis for the Krown's shape is the concept of being able to get incredible spin with very little effort. These goals were achieved, and with minute adjustments, you can control the yo-yo quite well. The problem with light yo-yos is when they are too light they throw off stability and you lose the sense of the yo-yo in your hand. The Krown manages to maintain speed, stability and a healthy weight in your hand. The design was tweaked over a series of prototypes in order to find the absolute best combination of specs and performance.

The Krown is the first yo-yo from C3 to be made fully of 7075 aluminum (duralumin); the Beserker only had a 7075 rim weight. The Krown comes with a top-class Dif-e-Yo Konkave bearing, and a Kitty String (normal thickness, 100% poly). The beautiful blast finish gives the Krown a smooth texture and prevents sleep loss even if you touch it during play, but if you prefer not to have a blast finish, there's a non-blast finish version available.
