Invictus features a unique floating sensation when mounting on the string.
Despite its slightly petite diameter, this full-metal yo-yo has a wide overall width of 46mm and a surprisingly strong presence. Weighing in around 66 grams, it is slightly heavier than the similarly sized lineup of Thesis Yoyos, but for some reason the smooth playfeel that comfortably matches its weight makes it a pleasant model.
The true reason for this is the weight balance that was created by focusing on the unique floaty feeling when the yo-yo is on-string, or in other words, when it is mounted during string tricks. The thick rim, which at first glance appears to be simply weighted toward the wings, is composed of multiple calculated curves, which not only directly draws out the power of the metal, but also brings out a straightforward responsiveness to delicate maneuvers. This straightforwardness is the floating feeling that Thesis Yoyos are known for, and makes this yo-yo easy to use for both high-speed combos and regular daily practice.
*Due to the manufacturing process, uneven coloring and speckling may be seen in some parts. Models with extreme dents or scratches that make it difficult to use have been weeded out, so blemishes in the production line are part of the product specifications and determined not to affect play.
I bought this yoyo a long time ago and wanted to let my thoughts ferment before writing this review. After a few weeks, here are my thoughts:
It’s my favorite yoyo. It does have a slippy response, but it’s a very minor issue and for me it means I avoid snags. I would recommend this as an all around yoyo. It’s great at doing everything, but not the best in one specific category. That’s just how it was designed I believe, but that’s also why I use it as my daily carry. I highly recommend this yoyo to anyone looking for a great all around throw.
P.S. it’s also one of the most aesthetically pleasing yo-yos I own, so I definitely recommend it if you keep your yo-yos on display.

Best Budget 6061 of the Year
It is hard to describe how amazing this throw feels on the string and in the hand. I own 6 movements and they’ve been my favorite throw for a while now, but this dethroned them. I don’t think I’ll find another 6061 yoyo to obsess over for some time because I was sure that movement was try favorite, but this just crushed it.
For those that own a movement, the Invictus plays like a more controllable version of it that is easier to maneuver and land tricks on. I cannot recommend this enough and really hope that they do another run with splashes and other colors.
