Japan Technology consolidated the appeal of their entire lineup to bring you a very special off string yo-yo.

All yo-yos have their unique flavor and characteristics, making them better suited for one style or another. Many players recognize that and spend a lot of time trying to choose which yo-yo is the best for themselves. With the HyBREED, JT sought to make a yo-yo that requires no wondering or worrying; it simply IS the perfect off string yo-yo to get you started on your 4A career.

The name “HyBREED” is a combination of “hybrid” and “breed,” and it’s an apt description as well. Japan Technology took yo-yos from all its different lineups, taking the best components and design elements from each one, and created this, well, HyBREED!

The body shape is based on the popular Rera, with a wide catch zone designed to make mounts easier. They then incorporated shapes from the flagship model, Kamui, and threw in the stability of the Kainer. They used the same special plastic used to create the Ashiru Kamui, and it has a light feeling similar to the Ashiru Kamui Light.

So, although we said that this is the best yo-yo to get you started with 4A, the HyBREED can handle any kind of off string trick, making it a great choice for players from all skill sets.

The included brass spacer doesn’t just let you regulate the yo-yo’s weight, but also changes the feeling, especially when performing regeneration tricks.

A warning from the maker:
When you use the spacer to regulate gap space, it can smash and deform the rubber ring, leading to instability during play. Another cause for instability could come from the hex nut axle system, when closed too tightly. To fix this, you may flip the rubber ring over and reassemble the yo-yo, making sure the hex nut is sitting correctly

JT’s recommended settings:
For Beginners: no tweaking needed, just pick it up and play!
For Intermediate~Advanced players: Exchange the default thin gold JT spacer on one side for the silver JT Spacer instead, and also exchange the included response pads for the YYF pads of the same (slim) size.
