A new amazing full-titanium yo-yo showing the evolution of Japan Technology.
Japan Technology does it again, making a yo-yo that pulls the full power and benefits of its materials. At 68.5 grams, the weight of the Frost makes it unusual for a titanium yo-yo, and as a result it gets incredibly long, stable sleeps that will blow you away.
From the Maker It is a full-scale competition model which was made with the concept "make the best use of titanium". Balance of diameter and width, thickness of various parts of the calculated body, weight to produce a sense of exquisite use. It is a titanium model which reached by repeating design and trial production. It is a titanium model that goes a different way from RIBIRA. "FROST" is a model of a mysterious sense that makes you feel kindness somewhere while being a model made using a very hard material called titanium.
Taking a left when the RIBIRA took a right, the FROST is a new direction for competition yo-yos. The design looks like it may already be in motion, and when you pick it up you can tell that this yo-yo wants to spin.
In fact, this impression comes from the work we've done in trying to make full use of the power of titanium in the design. Thanks to the fact that we can machine it thinner than aluminum, we can pull a lot more performance out of our design than with other materials. That is difficult to convey in looks alone, so we also thickened up the rims to give it an even more aggressive spin.
But we asked ourselves, is that the only way we can draw the best performance from the material? We got to work and did a lot of experimentation, with yo-yos of differing dimensions and specs. Small diameter, thick rims; big diameter, thin rims, we tried everything.
The result in the straight-bodied Frost is easy to control, has incredible power, and the overall balance is just unmatched. If we had to choose a favorite titanium model to date, this is the one. The weight distribution was lovingly calculated over many different experiments, and we're quite pleased with the results.
The name comes from a natural phenomenon known as the "Frost Flower," which is illustrated as part of the simple logo engraved on the side face. FROST isn't just a looker, it plays with the best of them, and belongs on stage!
