Flawless is the latest signature model of Rei Iwakura, the 6x 4A World Champion who is constantly striving for absolute perfection.

As if we need to explain who he is, Rei Iwakura holds countless titles around the world for his amazing off string performances. Multiple world championships, eight-time Japan National champion, not to mention the various regional and international awards he's collected over the year. The genkan (entry hall) at Rei's house is filled with trophies. He's brought all of his knowledge and expertise to the table when designing his signature model, making sure C3 would deliver on his demands. As time progressed, the trends in yo-yo play changed, and Rei's own preferences evolved, so it became necessary to take the next step and update his signature model. The new Flawless manages to increase sleep times and stability while ALSO reducing the yo-yo's weight. This kind of design wasn't even possible a few years ago!

The shape beautifully morphs from a round into a straight edge, totally changing the character of the Flawless. This change was made to reduce the physical stress of practice on the player, while increasing the amount of control they have over the yo-yo. The overall weight was reduced by a whopping 8 grams, to 84 grams as well. This is especially important for Rei, as he is famous for practicing for hours at a time to perfect his routines. Until now, there hasn't been much of a market for lightweight off string yo-yos, but now that they've cracked the code to making a light but powerful and stable off string yo-yo, the trends may change again. The new Flawless is also a full 4mm smaller in diameter, making it more of a precision instrument than before, with loads more power.

The width of the new Flawless is also a big change, ballooning to 67mm wide, making it the widest model in the C3 lineup. That difference of 4.7mm is designed to support complex mount variations and future trick development.

The biggest standout feature is the use of an aluminum weight on the inside of the weight ring. During development, they tested "plain" models and variations of different weights, including the stainless steel rims that are popular for string trick play styles... they landed on an aluminum weight as a good balance between sleep, stability, and weight, to deliver the perfect playfeel. This is another development we expect to see affect future yo-yo designs, and it's all in a day's work for C3 and Rei.

The promotion video is loaded with new tricks that are made possible with the new flawless, including difficult combos that were previously missed on the contest stages over the years, as Rei's ambitions for his performances were ahead of their time. Now, he's got the tools necessary to deliver a truly flawless performance.

The 7X World Champion, Team C3 Japan,Rei Iwakura's new signature yoyo "FLAWLESS"has a new revolution in 2020.

C3yoyodesign and Rei worked together to redesign the "FLAWLESS". This new model Incorporated some new elements which was required by Rei.

Rei had 3 design requests for "FLAWLESS" 2020

1. Lighter weight

2. Enhance spin power

3. Wider catch zone

All the requests which seemed to conflict, but we finally solved the problems and "FLAWLESS" 2020 is finally complete.

We reduced the yoyo weight from 92g to 84g. With a lighter weight, which improves the flexibility and yoyo movement speed as well as improving the responsiveness.

As the weight was reduced on a POM body, we upgraded the "FLAWLESS" with metal rings to maintain and improve spin power. Metal rings provide for longer spin times with a much more powerful feel.

The new shape of "FLAWLESS" has 2 steps from a curved sharp body to straight line wing. The diameter was decreased from 77mm to 73mm and yoyo width was increased from 62.3mm to 66.5mm. Due to the yoyo shape becoming wider and smaller, it has a longer hang time in the air.

Applying the design of bump area from "SOLAR Series", it has a impeccable control, even during Soloham tricks. Moreover, "FLAWLESS" comes with 3 sets of spacers, giving a total of 6 different settings. You can modify your own response setting easily to suit your play style.
