ll yo-yos have passed the manufacturer's inspection. Different manufacturers have different standards for product quality. Basically, products that can be used normally are within the product specifications.
Examples of possible initial defects : If you notice any of the following symptoms immediately after opening the product, it may be due to an initial defect.
(Bind model only) The bearing barely turns even when flicked with a finger.
Even after calming the vibrations with a rotating middle finger, the yo-yo still vibrates so much that it appears to change shape.
Parts that should have been installed (bearings/pads) are not installed
Examples of items that are not considered initial defects
Damage to the package
Color image difference
Bearing noises after playing a few times
A yo-yo that was delivered in a properly assembled state, but after being disassembled, could no longer be assembled
Scratches and paint chips inside the bearing area
The color unevenness of the yo-yo is not noticeable from a distance.
Paint chipping that is not visible from a distance
Scratches on the yo-yo that are not visible from a distance and are barely noticeable when touched with your fingers
High performance and affordable full metal. Double signature model of Izuru Hasumi and Akitoshi Tokubuchi, from YoYoFactory.
The concept of "another yo-yo" that both players have been dreaming of has been realized with this upgraded version Essence.
Its shape is based on the titanium model Metavity, which is also a double-signature model of both players, and the part that touches the hand has been fine-tuned. This allows the yo-yo to fit more comfortably in the hand, allowing even children with small hands to grip it firmly.
Aiming to adjust the ease of holding and the comfort of throwing, we succeeded in reducing the size of the yo-yo while maintaining the power of the previous model. You can feel the dependability of the yo-yo, which leaves more power than you can imagine when catching.
The weight of the Essence can be felt through the string during tricks, and the yo-yo does not wobble easily even at high speeds. As an entry model for full metal, you will surely be able to experience the evolution of yo-yos through the tricks you practice.
We hope you will use this model as your step up to a full metal yo-yo, as your first bind-response yo-yo, or for the contest stage.
SUS YOYO MECHANICS Design Comments
The "benefit of downsizing."
"ESSENCE evolves" is all I have to say about this model, but it was more difficult to produce than words can say. We want the feel of operation to be light and to be able to play for a long time, and we also want to lower the size and value the ease of gripping.
Still, we want the current power and stability to be maintained. Above all, we want it to be easy to use for all players. We asked the signature players about many other wishes, but of course they were both completely unwilling to compromise, and for the first time, the model became so difficult to draw that we couldn't see a solution. No matter what I did, I could not get rid of the old model, and once again I cursed myself for having packed all the know-how of the time and the good qualities of the original. It was that hard to improve upon with everyone in agreement.
The initial prototype was completed in such a situation, and I felt that I had finally found a direction after getting a good feel for it. Interestingly, the prototype had characteristics similar to the prototype of the old model, so we could clearly see what both players were looking for, and we made great progress.
The prototype's somewhat peaky feel was adjusted to calm the players, and this led to the final version. The change of only 0.5 mm in diameter is not so much a change as an easy-to-grip, small-operation feel.
Please experience the "ESSENCE" sought by both designers.
