Description
Japan Technology - Eagle Eye
Eagle Eye is the crystallization of all of Japan Technology’s knowledge and technique.
Japan Technology, a specialized maker of off string yo-yos on the forefront of the competition scene, has taken it upon themselves to consolidate all of the available knowledge and technique to make a high-end yo-yo that is guaranteed to blow the minds of top-level players and competitors around the world.
Japan Technology is no stranger to high-end yo-yos, and their Rera is an extremely popular model in the contest scene. Using the Rera as a base, JT incorporated a mountain of data and feedback from current players and used that to design an even more impressive model.
In off string yo-yos, in addition to power and ease of control, one of the key features is the yo-yo’s recoverability when you miss a trick: does the yo-yo bounce back at the right height to let you recover from your mistake? The Eagle Eye doesn’t just improve upon all these features, but it’s also designed to allow players to do a forward mount with a very short trajectory (video demonstration below). This was achieved through careful control of the yo-yo’s shape and weight distribution. The reasoning behind this consideration is to minimize the amount of time wasted whilst waiting for the yo-yo to drop into the mount… a small but important consideration for competition off string players. JT is no stranger to such detailed consideration: even the exact measurements of the response pads were carefully designed to maximize the number of tricks a player can perform on stage.
The Eagle Eye was truly designed for the serious contest freestyle in mind, and truly brings together everything a top-level performer could ask for in their off string yo-yo. It’s not an overstatement to call the Eagle Eye the new “gem” of Japan Technology’s lineup.
