Middle sized, inverse-round shape bimetal.

This is a middle-size inverse round bimetal that is slightly smaller than a typical full-size, and has a good small fit in the hand.

The weight is balanced slightly toward the diameter, with the rim placed on top of the A6061 body rather than filling the entire outside with rim. This gives the middle-size, lightweight bimetal outstanding rotational power, and even though it is light, the momentum on return is considerable. The impression is that it dexterously creates a sense of stability not by its weight but by its rotational power.

Incidentally, "Durandal" refers to the holy sword held by the hero Roland in the medieval French epic poem "The Song of Roland. The sword and shield artwork on the side face is inspired by this background.
