All yo-yos have passed the manufacturer's quality inspection. Quality standards vary by manufacturer. Basically, products that can be used normally are within product specifications.

Learn the basics on the Arrow (plastic), then move on to binding with the Krown (full metal). This set bundles both stages of that progression, so you never have to guess when it's time to upgrade.
A plastic yo-yo with a finger spin cap. It returns automatically when you tug the string, so beginner-friendly settings let you learn how to throw and hold it while getting a feel for sleeping (spinning freely). The included DVD also shows you the correct form.
