Description
SF yoyos x A-RT - DK
They really made it! The doorknob profile!?
Yo-yos often get compared to things like doorknobs, but who would actually make one out of a doorknob? We found them in Canadian maker A-RT, who collaborated with US maker SF yoyos. They even named it DK (Door Knob).
The cute DK has a simple look, and at a glance it could be easily mistaken for an actual doorknob. In reality, the round-all-around body is a hollow construction, so it takes a lot of work to make something look so simple. Despite its size and looks, it's only 63 grams, making it pretty easy to control. With a size C bearing, it's surprisingly playable, and the result is a unique metal throw that can actually hang, in addition to looking so good.
Of course, because of its shape, this yo-yo isn't specialized for many tricks, and it's better for casual play than competition or serious practice, but we still think everyone should give it a toss and see what we're talking about. We've all thought about it sometimes when we open a door. A truly unique design that may feel a bit bulbous, the DK has a harder feeling than you expect from its rounded shape, but there's a lot to love in this yo-yo. You'll find yourself smiling when you start throwing the DK around.
The "Unknown" version includes a note about the design.
Comes with a size C- bearing and an M4x8mm axle, letting you change the DK to a tug-response yo-yo.
*Gold colorway is blast-coated
