Turning Point - Diamond Virgin
Diamond virgin is the bimetal signature model of Takayasu Tanaka, the Japan National 1A champion for 2005 and 2006.
Burning through the contest scene and setting trends with his innovative tricks. Takayasu Tanaka claimed two consecutive titles as the top 1A player in Japan, and has made his impact on the industry with his new signature model, the Diamond Virgin.
Named for the Janne Da Arc song that Takayasu used in his 2006 winning freestyle, the Diamond Virgin has specs inspired by the Mini Mo-Tu, the yo-yo he used to claim victory that year. But the biggest change between the two is that this new model has a more modern, bimetal design, with a large outer rim made of stainless steel. Thanks to Turning Point's extensive experimentation and knowledge, they've managed to incorporate a smaller M4x8mm axle while still increasing the body width by 5mm from the Mini Mo-Tu. This expands on the original concept of the Mini Mo-Tu of "small but powerful," as it performs similar to a much larger yo-yo while still giving you the tight control small movement of a smaller model. Even if you don't normally throw small, we encourage you to give the Diamond Virgin a toss and feel it for yourself.
Additionally, the edge is slightly lifted to preserve "that" playfeel that made the Mini Mo-Tu so popular. If you used to play with that model, the Diamond Virgin will bring back some sweet memories!
The black colorway has some slight imperfections in the anodization, so that color is being sold with a discount.
