C3yoyodesign 15th Anniversary. A fan signature model
A special project "Ron's Yoyo Design Challenge" held during the C3 Yoyo Design 15th anniversary event in Japan. Ron, who designs most of C3 Yoyo Design's yo-yos, gathered preferences on size and feel from fans at the event and designed this yoyo on the spot, creating a "C3yoyodesign Fan Signature Model."
This yo-yo fuses a rim shape that adopts the Krown's rounded profile with an H-profile inspired by the Scintillator. By placing weight on the rims, it achieves powerful spin while prioritizing high controllability. It also features a fingerspin spot that was requested by many fans.
Supported by many players, this creation has become an exceptionally balanced model that reflects the preferences of many players.
Finally, the name was also decided through a public submission. Below is an excerpt explaining the meaning of the name and the survey results that formed the basis for this model's creation.
"C3 has created various yoyos creatively in the past
Taking the "C" from C3 in creative,
Expressing the "1" in 15th anniversary as "I", the 5 as the Roman numeral "V"
And flipping C3's "3" to make an "E"
Combining the first letter "c" and the last three letters "ive" of creative to form
"CIVE"
Additionally, CIVE means "live" in Corsican language (according to Google Translate) (when written in lowercase as "cive"). Since "live" is almost the same as "event," this name "CIVE" carries three meanings: C3 15th anniversary & event & creative."
