All yo-yos have passed the manufacturer's quality inspection. Quality standards vary by manufacturer. Basically, products that can be used normally are within product specifications.
Examples of possible initial defects
if the following symptoms occur immediately after opening, they may be initial defects:
(Bind models only) The bearing barely rotates even when flicked with a finger.
Even after dampening vibrations with a finger during play, the yo-yo vibrates so much that its shape appears distorted.
Parts that should be installed (bearings, pads) are not installed.
Examples that do not constitute initial defects
Package damage
Color differences from expectations
Bearing noise or bind model return issues that occur after even a few plays
Yo-yos that arrived properly assembled but cannot be reassembled after disassembly
Scratches on the inside of the bearing area, paint chips
Color variations on the yo-yo that are not noticeable from a distance
Paint chips that are not noticeable from a distance
Scratches on the yo-yo that are not noticeable from a distance and barely detectable by touch
Minor rust on bearing surfaces of models that come pre-strung in the package (minor external rust has almost no impact on performance)
Powerful performance in a lightweight bimetal. Dual signature model by Rei and Naoto.
This dual signature bimetal model was created by two world champions, Rei Iwakura and Naoto Okada, who have long competed as rivals on the contest stage. As accomplished performers, they packed this yo-yo with all the elements needed for their stage shows.
Despite weighing under 64g, making it a lightweight bimetal, the Cirque achieves both powerful spin and reliable stability. The stainless steel rim and aluminum body bimetal structure delivers strong power with exhilarating control. While lightweight models typically lack stability, the Cirque defies this convention and provides the stability needed for stage performances.
Furthermore, the wide design increases trick success rates. Width is particularly crucial for stage performances, minimizing mistakes in front of the audience. However, this isn't simply a wide model, by balancing size to accommodate intricate tricks while maintaining all-around versatility, it successfully expands the range of performance possibilities.
The slightly rounded body shape is comfortable to grip, and combined with its light weight, places minimal strain on hands during extended performances. Enhanced suitability for grind tricks, where the yo-yo spins on the hand, enables even more expressive possibilities.
The side face design is tuned to enable DNA style tricks. While it doesn't offer the stability of dedicated spot structures, skilled players can utilize the rim edge to execute advanced tricks like the Cyclone DNA and Corkscrew.
The name, meaning "circus" in French, reflects Naoto's decade-plus experience performing in circuses abroad and Rei's vibrant, circus-like performance style. Rather than the simple English "Circus," they chose the French "Cirque" to evoke the nuance of contemporary circuses epitomized by famous troupes like "Cirque du Soleil."
Created by two former rivals, this model will be the perfect companion for their pursuit of modern, artistic, and dynamic yo-yo shows.
