Description

MonkeyfingeR - Ape-X

100% made in Canada, Ape-X is the realization of MonkeyfingeR's ambitions.

MonkeyfingeR has released a stellar lineup ranging from standard to some pretty outrageous shapes, but the Ape-X is truly geared towards competition play. The rounded body gives impressive, durable spin times. At 68.4 grams it's a little on the heavy side, but you can modify the weight distribution, giving you control over the balance and maneuverability. The gap width is very precisely set to meet the demands of modern players, making complex tricks a breeze.

While the yo-yo itself is well-designed, the package design and printing are also really impressive, not to mention the sweet tri-color anodization that really makes the Ape-X stand out. MonkeyfingeR wants the world to see the attention to detail Canadians are capable of. It even comes with a sweet pouch!

For response, MonkeyfingeR is using their custom SNOT material. You can order more, or use a YYF CBC Pad (large slim size) if you prefer.

Really fun, unique yoyo

This is a great yoyo. On first glance it looks like a fairly basic shape, but when you get it in your hand you can really appreciate all of the lines and thought that went into its design. There's a lot of subtle shapes and angles in the catch zone and hub that are unique.

It feels somewhat solid, but not overly so, and definitely not in a bad way. It still has a bit of float. Plays a ot more modern than the shape might suggest, and is quite stable. Definitely gets a string recommendation. And the ano just looks great like all of the stuff MFD does.
