Description
Onedrop - 54 (Fifty-Four)
With its side effect gimmicks, the 54 is a rare full-size yo-yo amongst onedrop's lineup.
Onedrop is well-known for its rich offering of undersized yo-yos, and now out of nowhere it drops a full-size model on us. True to its name, the 54 has a 54mm diameter. Just because they came out of nowhere with this full-sized model doesn't mean it feels or throws like anyone else's yo-yo; the 54, despite its unusual size, retains its "onedrop-ness." This should appeal greatly to those who appreciate onedrop's quality and attention to detail, but aren't huge fans of undersized yo-yos.
Not only is the size new to onedrop, it is also the first model to incorporate their new "side effect" feature, hub covers that protect the axle but also provide a new method to regular the yo-yo's weight. A slight change in weight can change the way the yo-yo throws, so the side effects give not only a new visual effect, but also serve a practical purpose.
The 54 itself is rather light, so you can throw it with great force, and its size is well suited for complicated tricks and speed play. This is aided by its use of onedrop's 10-ball bearings.
Comes loaded with the Aluminum Spike side effect (3.2g).
