The original PoryKon has been reborn as a machined polycarbonate product.
The original PoryKon is now made of machined polycarbonate with higher precision. The grip, string attachment, and weight distribution have been adjusted to make it easier to handle and play.
Description of the original polycarbonate
Built-in bearings for quick and smooth yaw adjustment during play. Shaped to be cut from various angles, all of this has been thoughtfully designed to prevent problems and reduce mistakes during counterweight play. From the unique perspective of a counterweight specialist player, common problems such as the weight getting caught on the string during play, getting tangled up in your arm, or stopping the rotation when the weight collides with the yo-yo, are prevented. You can concentrate on counterweight play without stress.
Comments from Sora Ishikawa, 2018 5A Division World Champion
The greatest feature of the Porykon is the smooth return of yaw thanks to the C-size bearing.
In fact, when hitting the arms or legs with directional change tricks, if the aim is slightly off, the weight itself often turns horizontally, causing uncontrolled yawing, but Porykon is equipped with a large bearing, so even a slight twist is often immediately released from the string, and sagging is much less likely to occur.
This point was so significant that I decided to switch to PORYKON immediately when Denny and his team gave me a sample at the World Contest.
Another point is that although there are corners, the top view is a perfect circle, making it easy to grip and less painful to get hit with. We hope that a wide range of people, from those who are just starting to use counterweights to those who already have experience with counterweights, will pick up this well-made counterweight.
