Looking at this yo-yo, you might think that you'd seen it before... And you probably did, fifteen to twenty years ago was when this model first became a legend. This is the wing-profile version of the
Legend. Whereas the Legend's body is rounded on the outsides, this version flips the sides around to create the now-ubiquitous wing profile. This design made it easier to land string tricks, and completely changed the game forever.
Compared to modern yo-yos, the Legend Wing can't do much... it has a very short sleep time due to the fixed axle, which also means you can't even take the yo-yo apart or open it up to fix a tangled string. For that reason, we say that the Legend Wing is meant more for collectors, and less for actual play. However, for those who actually enjoy playing with fixed axles or want to take part in the challenge, the Legend Wing is one of the most playable ones available. Despite it's simplicity, it's certainly not meant for beginners or even intermediate players. However, if you find yourself in a fixed-axle battle, the Legend Wing may be your secret weapon.
