CLYW - Ditch
Based on the Gorge, this full-metal yo-yo has been downsized to a smaller, more casual throw.
This is a mini-sized version of Gorge, which appeared as a bimetal with a nostalgic shape reminiscent of the early days when bindings were first gaining popularity. While Gorge refers to a canyon, a large split in the ground, Ditch is a similar structure on a much smaller scale. This yo-yo looks and feels great in the hand, and spins much better than one would expect from its size and shape; the balance of CLYW's round shape is well-honed and thoughtful, as good as it gets.
It doesn't have the intense stability or as long a sleep of today's full-size metal yo-yos, but it does have the feel of a full-size yo-yo. However, its portability and surprisingly high performance are not to scale with its size, and it is no exaggeration to say that it has an appeal that is the result of the ultimate pursuit of a hobby obsession.
