Sturm Panzer - D-Starter 2
The D-Starter is your new full metal entry model to the powerful world of the small size D bearing.
The full metal yo-yo has become the face of modern yo-yos. 99% of those full metal yo-yos use the large size C bearing, for its good balance of speed and smoothness that pairs well with bind response play. Because of its popularity, it's unusual to see string trick yo-yos with any other kind of bearing.
But common doesn't always mean best, and your settings and play style may be better suited for a different design... There's another excellent option that is more rare, and that's the smaller size D bearing. The D-Starter series was developed to give players a chance to feel the power of this little bearing for a reasonable price.
For their extensive lineup of high-concept yo-yos, Sturm Panzer's top three design points were 1) bimetal, 2) size D bearing, and 3) ultra-lightweight. The D-Starter is not bimetal, which brings it down to a more affordable price. The shape comes from the Leo Sniper MK-II, with a three-step shape with a 45mm width. At 62 grams, it's pretty light, giving you specs that are unheard of for yo-yos using size C bearings, though not quite as extreme as Sturm Panzer's premium bimetal options. When you play it you'll find the weight balance very comfortable, and the 7075 aluminum body is sturdy with a quality finish. The size D bearing delivers the amazing ferocious spin we've come to expect from Sturm Panzer's lineup.
Now you can easily get in hand what may be the start of a new revolution in yo-yo standards. Let's get started!
Comment from the Maker:
The bearing used is the CP-06 D 9-ball bearing. If you wish to customize your play experience and squeeze even more performance out of it, we recommend changing to a Dif-e-Yo KonKave (or similar) bearing of the same size. Modifications to your yo-yo are undertaken at your own risk.
The response pads are the CP-09 Blade Attack (Economy) pads. We've included two spare pads for you.
There may be some minor imperfections in the finish and anodization, as a result of production, assembly, or shipping processes. All yo-yos have been tested and imperfections have been determined to not affect play. Thank you for your understanding.
