long-standing 4A world champion Rei Iwakura holds a record number of titles, and he has poured his full energy into developing a yo-yo that will help him ensure many more victories. Now he's leveling the playing field, bringing to you his new signature off string yo-yo, the Contrail.

Compared to his prior high-end flagship model, the Flawless, Contrail boasts an impressive level of lightness and speed. Although it's competitively priced to be affordable to all players, Contrail is designed to support a wide range of players, from 4A beginners to off string champions.

The renewal of the Contrail line has adopted a step-straight profile similar to that of the Flawless. One standout feature is the use of a mid-bump design. This keeps sleep loss at a minimum and provides great benefit doing regeneration techniques, but is not commonly found in other of string models. The body is also wide, making it easy to do all kinds of tricks and improve your hit ratios. The Contrail is superbly balanced and a great ally for every kind of off string play.

Of course, Rei's specialty of the challenging soloham (double off string) style was heavily considered during development of the Contrail. Check out the promotion video to see what the Contrail is capable of in the right hands.

Contrail comes assembled with settings designed for a wide spectrum of players, with an emphasis on beginners. Using the spacers like those that came with the Flawless, or the Submarine's MSD spacer, you can adjust the yo-yo's gap width and responsiveness for more advanced play. The abundance of options for fine tuning for your own style is just another appealing point of this excellent throw!

7 times World Champion - Rei Iwakura Signature Model "Contrail" renewal!

The 1st generation of Contrail released in 2017. After 4 years, we have a new updated edition of Contrail.

Rei and C3 development team redesigned the new Contrail meticulously. We tested several prototypes until we finalised a design. Based on the blueprint of Flawless, we aimed to build a new contrail suited for beginner to professional players. A high-performance offstring yoyo favourite for beginners to develop their yoyo skills. Professional players can also personalise their settings by changing spacers to fine tune the response. The new Contrail is lighter and wider, it is easier to control, but still has a powerful spin. Rei Iwakura has been using the New Contrail on 2021 CJ contest stage.

New Contrail enhances the performance of regeneration and controllability, which makes players easily able to control the drop point. The lightweight design helps players be more comfortable with handling and provides enough bounce, so players can easily to catch the yoyo once dropped on the floor.

Moreover, the wider shape of the yoyo will provide an advantage for Soloham tricks. Although not like the Flawless, which has metal weight rings installed to provide spin power, the New Contrail also redesigned the weight distribution to ensure enough spin.
