From this year on, onedrop has announced that it’ll release yo-yos of various shapes as its new Benchmark Series.
As the special characteristic of this series, all the yo-yos are the same weight, diameter, and width. Only the shapes and weight distribution differ, giving you the chance to feel the difference a body shape makes when all else is equal. To feel even more difference, Benchmark yo-yos are compatible with onedrop’s side effects. By changing out the side effect, you can experience the difference a small amount of weight in the hub can make. Onedrop wants you to get as many of these in your hands as you can, so you can feel the variety of shapes, so they cut back on frills and engraving, keeping the cost down as much as possible.
Of course the Benchmarks aren’t all just to prove a point, they’re amazing yo-yos in their own right, and have the potential to make any player a champion.
