Japan Technology - FiReal
Famous for its exclusive line of off string yo-yos, Japan Technology now brings you its first string trick model, FiReal.
Japan Technology has launched many yo-yo players into the international spotlight, helping them become off string champions. Now, it's time for 1A players to get a spin. The FiReal takes JT's fine attention to detail and applies it to a sweet full metal string trick model. It has a unique shape that combines inverse round, round and straight design elements, and you can feel the benefits of all those profiles. The weight distribution is truly exquisite.
Though this is Japan Technology's first foray into string trick yo-yos, it's clear they are serious about making the best yo-yos out there, for any division.
From the maker:
FiReal is Japan Technology's first string trick yo-yo, designed for 1A, 3A and 5A play styles. Although bimetal yo-yos have become rather popular lately, we feel that full metal yo-yos are capable of spectacular performance, and we used 44CLASH as an opportunity to make our own.
With the physics of spin toys, there are ideal specs "by the numbers," but also there are some subjective ideals that come from experimentation. With the help of some serious players, we were able to tweak the specs to find the numbers behind their ideal feeling.
We took these two spec sheets, and carefully considered them along with the axles, pads and bearings, coming up with a third, "absolute ideal" spec sheet. This process gave us a weight distribution and feeling that we couldn't have derived from the numbers alone. FiReal plays incredibly smooth, but still has a unique feeling to it. The bind feeling is really something as well.
The new response area has been designed so the separator (the space between the outer diameter of the bearing and the inner diameter of the response pad) minimizes sleep loss and better supports complex 3A 5A tricks where the yo-yo is mounted on one or more strings.
Also, the body is an exquisite blend of inverse-round, round and straight profiles, giving you a feeling that the yoyo is wider and more stable than the numbers suggest. The new separator design and the body style are particularly beneficial when trying out horizontal tricks.
We chose the extremely strong A300 aluminum, in the A7000 alloy family. This special metal give the yo-yo a unique feeling that advanced players will take notice of.
The FiReal is designed to look like a regular yo-yo, but throw like nothing you've experienced before. We're confident that there's plenty left in full metal yo-yos to stand up to the new bimetal models, especially when they're authentic pieces of engineered art, and MADE IN HOKKAIDO.
