Description
YoYoJam - Ai
The youngest world champion in history now has his own signature model, Ai is Takeshi Matsuura's ultimate design.
2008 and 2010 5A world champion Takeshi Matsuura may be the youngest world champion ever, but he's probably got more experience throwing a yo-yo than most players. World championships aside, he's already claimed his fourth consecutive Japan National championship. He's put his knowledge to good use designing this revolutionary yo-yo. Takeshi went with the current trend and adopted a low edge, but to increase the agility and ease of control, he's gone with a revolutionary new round double-stepped shape, aiming for the heards of 1A, 3A and 5A players alike.
The name Ai came from the prototype A.I. The shape has an amazing effect, reducing sleep loss. Like the Night Moves 5, Ai has a light aluminum body with a brass outer ring. Even though it's a full metal yo-yo, the outer rim only serves to make it higher class. Instead of a fixed gap, it can be regulated through the use of shims. For a wider gap, you can use one or two Tez Shims for your preferred response setting (caution, use of the YYJ red shims will create a gap between the bearing and body). Those familar with YoYoJam's gap settings will recognize the ring gouged out for the bearing. The outer cap is broken into two flat steps, and looks very cool.
Even with all of its real life capabilities, Ai would look great in anyone's collection. The mirror caps and their design are very distinctive. When you do throw the Ai, you will no doubt be entranced by the appearance of the spinning caps from different angles.
It is dangerous to put your finger into the recessed cap during play. If you wish to remove the caps, the weight after removing them will be 67.3 grams.
