Description
yoyorecreation - Maestro
Maestro is yoyorecreation's first off string yo-yo.
Yoyorecreation's first off string yo-yo is the signature model for 2009 and 2011 4A world champion, Naoto Okada. Naoto is not only an established yo-yo street performer, he is the younger brother of REWIND's own Kazuki Okada.
Machined into the high-quality delrin body is yoyorecreation's signature low edge, step-straight shape, but looking at the side profile, you can see that YYR has refined the body shape even further for off string play, giving the sides emerging from the exposed axle a curved surface, not unlike a parabolic antenna.
The reasoning behind this is that in large yo-yos, when weight is pressed out into the outer edges too much, it can lose its intended effect, and actually negatively affect stability. By evenly distributing the weight throughout the body, the Maestro not only boasts superior stability, but also maintains top-class power and sleep times.
The Maestro is especially well suited for Naoto's signature style of long boingy-boingy and recapture combos, linking together tons of variations with a single throw. Also, by changing out the pads with slight variations in thickness, you can make minor gap adjustments to suit your needs. (comes loaded with 1.1mm, normal-hardness pads)
